The academy is a multidisciplinary postgraduate course dedicated to research, to the

technological innovation, to the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic skin lesions

Aimed at: doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and pharmacists.

For Italian students, the value of this degree is also recognized on vacation at the

scope of attribution competence with relative score (DL January 31, 2005

, n7) validated by Law No. 43 of March 31, 2005 Postgraduate. Established under the

Articles 16 and 17 of DPR 162/82 and Art. 6 of Law 341/90 -. . satisfy the need for more

studies in certain areas, but also the need for postgraduate updating or recycling.

IAWC Diploma - Basic The duration of the Academy is 2 years for Italian students and starts in

the month of October in Asti and after a period of one month, there are sessions in November that

will continue with the super specialization through clinical courses to be attended during the

year, followed by an exam at the end of the course the student achieves the IAWC Diploma

(Italian Wound Certified Expert) postgraduate qualification issued by IAWC.

The practices

Students receive advanced knowledge on all matters related to management

of difficult wounds and skin ulcers, and, in particular, the appearance of the

"circular" lessons, that is, around the teacher, in small groups, with the power to

deepen theoretical knowledge in real practice with mannequins and / or animal meat.

For foreign students

The course of study will take place for 7 days and 6 nights with study program and tourism

Official language will be Italian with translation into English November 2022

1 day: welcome Free night

• 1 day at the S.Carlo Hospital Milan Diabetic Foot Center or Multimedica deMilan

• 1 day in the Private Hospital S.Anna de Asti- Consultation of Difficult Wounds. guided visit

to the city of Asti Free night

• Theoretical and practical session of workshop technology (practical tests on mannequins and

animal meat) from electromedical equipment (minidoppler, bandages, dressings

advanced, negative pressure, sutures, topical blood components, surgical debridement, tissue bioengineering, etc)

• (16) End of the Course at 6 pm Exam and Diploma Session.

• (17) Rest and free day to visit Turin in the morning and return to their countries
